Southward Car Museum

Started in 1956 the Museum now houses over 400 Classic Cars, Vintages Motorcycles, and Aircraft along with other rare memorabilia spread over 6000 sqm on 3 floors.

I am always amazed at how so many Classic Cars and Motorcycles got to New Zealand, and how well they have been preserved. This is not just one of the many, but one of the great private collections I have seen in my travels.

The purpose-built facility is also a major conference and event Centre with 5 function spaces.

Set on 6 hectares it is a popular wedding venue as well.
